With April showers (or snow in some places) in full swing, one of the biggest wardrobe trends for spring is the revival of the 70’s. From festival attire, retro vibes, fringe and of course flares as we move into this new season these 70’s vibes are everywhere!
Whether you are planning a wardrobe over haul or just wanted to add a few key items to your closet to keep up with the trends, Old Navy can help you do just this, without breaking the bank.
As such fan of the flare jean, when I saw the Old Navy cropped flares I knew they would be perfect to add to my closet. I did a bit of trial and error in the Old Navy dressing room with these cropped flares and finally got the look just right! Since of the time we are going from work to happy hour/dinner without wanting or having time do a full outfit change I thought this ‘Friday casual’ to happy hour/dinner look would be perfect.
When it comes to pairing a top with these Old Navy cropped flares, there are a few different directions you can go. Two of my favorite spring blouse trends are the billowing blouse and the off the shoulder. Both are sophisticated, on trend and of course look great!
The first look I paired my Old Navy cropped flares with this Old Navy billowing blouse, these 70’s inspired shoes and of course the fringe bag to complete the look. This is the perfect day-time look. In order to take the look from day to night, I swapped my Old Navy billowing blouse for this Old Navy off the shoulder top! It’s amazing that by just swapping blouses and keeping the staple (the cropped flares) that you get an entirely different vibe!
There is something so freeing and laid back about these retro vibes that makes me such a fan of this trend. Are you as big of a fan of the 70’s revival as I am?
