Fitness has always been a really big part of my life. I have always enjoyed being active whether it be yoga, spin, going for a swim or even taking a jog outside. The last couple of years I have really focused more on challenging my body and attempting to get into really great shape. I did this by attending regular spin classes while also incorporating yoga into my weekly routine for balance. For me, the combination of spin and yoga really worked for my body.
If you read my blog post last night, you now know that things are about to get really different for me physically. Like, REALLY different. When I found out I was pregnant last November (yes, I knew right away something was ‘different’), I tried to keep my routine as ‘normal’ as possible. Yes, I did get a little tired but I honestly thing that was just from exhaustion of all of the weird body changes at the beginning. Thankfully I have not been sick, so giving up my work outs has not been an issue (yet). While I have tried to stick to a regular work out routine, I have backed off of spin a bit (only 1-2 times a week) and incorporated regular yoga into my active regimen (at least 3-4 times a week). I plan to work out as long as I can, so I can stay healthy and active!
Now, like I said I am currently going through a few body changes and I am only in the second trimester (15 1/2 weeks), so I know it’s just the beginning. Yes, my jeans are beginning to get a little snug (especially by the end of the day) so for me active wear has been something that I have learned to love even more than before. Thank goodness ‘athleisure’ is such a big trend right now!
Finding active wear that is not only functional (has all the properties necessary to actually work while you work out) but also cute and affordable can be tricky. Thankfully Old Navy has some of the cutest activewear around. I have always been such a fan of Old Navy activewear (remember this post?) because Old Navy is constantly coming out with new items, colors and styles.
Old Navy active is not only so cute and fashion forward but it’s really comfortable. For me, comfort is key at this point but I will say feeling cute in my work out attire is such great motivation…especially when I have started one of the most physically challenging journeys ever.
