Spring Forward

In Dallas the winter weather is (hopefully) behind us and with the sun shining more it is finally time to spring forward. This time of year is always when I do a little closet re-vamp. I move the heavy jackets to the back and dust off those strappy shoes, dresses & slippers that I have wanted to wear for so long but due to the freezing weather haven’t been able to!

With the first official day of spring in only a matter of days (March 21st) besides moving things around in my closet, I have found myself picking up a few pieces that I know I will be able to wear all the time that just add a fresh new look to some of my current (old) favorites. With April showers right around the corner this time of year seems to be all about the trench coat. It is that perfect coat that can be worn on crisp evenings and dressed up or down. I prefer to pair my trench coat with my favorite pair of jeans and some snazzy slippers. This really seems to be my uniform as of late. It is not only the easiest combination but it also allows you to look so put together while still being causal, comfortable and warm (enough).
