‘Tis the season for weekend escapes. With more music festivals than one could ever go to, impromptu weekend getaways and everything spring break and beyond. This is always my favorite time of year because I feel like everyone gets that itch to just throw a few things in a bag and just get away. Like we all feel that we have been cooped up and are ready for a change, even if it is just for a couple of days!
The hardest thing about a weekend escape is figuring out what to pack. You don’t want to pack too much but of course you want options because if you are like me you never know where the weekend escape will take you!
See below for a few of my favorite tips & tricks for packing your tote (this old navy reversible tote is my new favorite) & traveling to your own weekend escape!
- be organized: lay everything out, pick a key piece that you can pair with everything and wear over and over again.
- travel in a dress: they are lightweight, can be easily layered; plus when you arrive you can swap the tennis shoes for heels or wedges. dresses are perfect to take from day to night & you can wear them the next day by the pool as a cover up!
- less is more: it’s only a couple of days, you can do it if you really try!
