Happy weekend! What.A.Week. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that last weekend we headed to Baylor to watch the first home game of the season. Pre-football game we spent the morning/afternoon restaurant hopping at all of our favorite Waco spots, a little tailgating and then of course finally made it to the football game. After a FUN night we work up Sunday morning, drove back to Dallas and then the husband and I got on a flight to New York for a little fashion week fun.
After arriving in New York late Sunday night the husband and I checked into our hotel and then walked to Cafeteria for a late dinner. After eating way too much we decided to call it a night because the next few days were jam packed. Monday morning started bright and early with a little spin class, shooting photos for the blog (coming soon) and then heading to the Lela Rose show (so dreamy). After the Lela Rose show the husband and I grabbed a bite to eat at Tipsy Parsons (one of our favorites) and then headed to the SJP showroom. Now I have been to A LOT of showrooms but Sarah Jessica Parkers kind of takes the cake. Pale pink walls, pops of poppy, cushy white couches and white marble tables make this showroom every girls dream. So lovely. Post SJP we headed over to one of my favorite designers, Shoshanna, to see her latest collection. Let me just tell you how excited I am for April for when I can actually get all of these lovely pieces in my closet!
After spending some time at Shoshanna, we headed to Rosie’s (delicious margaritas) for a happy hour meeting (the best kind), followed by a glass of wine at The Bowery Hotel. After what seemed liked about 5 minutes but was really 3 hours it was actually time for dinner so we made it to Catch for a little Monday night sushi action. Needless to say, Monday was jam packed and we were exhausted so we called it an early night.
Tuesday was quite the bright and early wake up call. I had an early shoot Tuesday morning (8 AM) and after that wrapped I headed to Lincoln Center to watch the Tory Burch fashion show. Now, I have always been a fan of everything Tory does so I was so excited to see her fashion show live! Also getting to sit 6 feet away from Anna Wintour does make it THAT much of an exciting show. After the show I headed back to the hotel to meet the husband for a late breakfast/early lunch. We ended up just keeping it easy and went to the restaurant at The Dream Hotel. Post brunch we walked around meat packing, the Chelsea Market and popped in a few lovely stores. Before we knew it we both needed an afternoon pick me up so we grabbed coffee at FIKA (darling) before heading to One World Trade to meet with a brand at the Conde Nast offices.
Tuesday nights dinner was short and sweet and we both could not get into bed fast enough. We woke up Wednesday morning, grabbed a nice breakfast at Sara Beth’s before heading to the hotel to get back to Dallas!
While the week was filled with a few shows and lots of meetings, yes I am tired but the kind of rewarding tired if that even makes sense. For sure a week well spent and I cannot tell you how excited I am to take the next couple of days to really relax. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. xx
