I have been collecting denim for as long as I can remember. If you were to go through my closet you would notice that the biggest wardrobe collection (besides shoes) is my denim. I have all different brands, price points and styles.
I often get e-mails from sweet readers and the question that I have gotten the most is ‘what category of clothing in your closet can you not live without’? Without even hesitating, my response is always, denim.
Denim is such a classic and for me a ‘go to’ that is appropriate on almost every occasion. Office, travel, dinners, meetings, coffee dates, you name it and denim always works. Although I have quite a little collection (I have been adding to my denim for years), one brand that you will see over and over again in my closet is Old Navy, like my beloved Rockstar Skinnies i’m wearing here!
I like to think of Old Navy denim as that friend that always has my back, well in this case my behind! And their latest ‘Built In Sculpt’ denim really does shape and hold you in for a super slimming look. Pure Magic I tell you. The Old Navy built in sculpt denim comes in three different colors & styles: low rise, mid rise and high rise. While I always opt for the mid-rise for my shape, it’s nice to know that a brand is conscious about creating something that works for all different shapes and sizes.
Even though I don’t have to show up to an office every day, I still like to wear something that is casual, put together and of course comfortable…especially when I am going to my favorite neighborhood coffee shop to get my coffee fix. For me, Old Navy denim has so many different innovative styles that fit the bill!
Yes, jeans and a button down are more than original, but there is something so classic and approachable about the look that make it great for casual meetings or hanging out at places like your local coffee shop. Oh and I always like to make sure to bring my favorite denim jacket to layer because I always get chilly plus denim on denim is such a huge trend this spring.
