Although my days of graduating from college have long past (still cannot believe that was 8 years ago), I know many of you are about to reach this fun stage of your lives! I graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and have really fond memories of the day. Even though I was exhausted after sitting through a long ceremony, it’s still a time that I’ll never forget.
Speaking of people that are graduating… this leads me to my next big announcement! I’d like you all to meet my intern that’s been working for me since January- Mallory Kaplan! She is graduating this May from TCU in Fort Worth with a major in strategic communication and a minor in creative writing. Mallory has been helping me with website content, blog posts and more. I’ve never had an intern before, so it’s been a treat having someone to help me out, especially when I’m so busy getting ready for our sweet baby boy!
I’ve known Mallory for the past three years and it’s actually a really funny story of how we first met. But first, let me backtrack a little bit… When my triplet cousins were born almost 23 years ago, my two sisters and I each picked a baby as our own. Baby A, Baby B and Baby C were what we called them! So fast-forward to three years ago, my grandmother insisted that I come to dinner to “approve” my 21 year-old, Baby B’s new girlfriend. We all still laugh about it to this day! It’s safe to say that she got the stamp of approval and has been a friend of mine ever since!! I can’t wait to feature her more on the blog for all of you to see.
Mallory’s dress is Alexis and one of the prettiest sundresses I think I’ve ever seen. And even though the typical graduation day outfit consists of a cap and gown, it’s still important to look your best for photos afterwards and in between. This dress truly does it all- I love that since it’s white it can go with any color gown, but it still has really pretty blue undertones! It’s such a big moment to walk across that stage with your diploma in hand and say “I did it!” and I’m so glad Mallory will be able to do it in style!
Congratulations to all the graduates out there!! You’ve earned it. xx
