Ralph Bonham Havins

On July 11th at 9:29 in the morning, Wade and I heard our sweet baby Ralph cry for the first time. Ralph Bonham Havins weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Words cannot describe that moment and I know it is something the two of us will always remember. As much as I disliked my entire pregnancy, I can honestly say the moment I had that sweet baby in my arms not only was my world changed forever (in the best possible way) but the last 9 months of being uncomfortable were worth it.

Many of you have asked if I was going to share my birth story and after thinking it through I have decided to opt out of sharing the ‘details’ and keep it private. Please know that it was a wonderful experience and everything went more smoothly than we could have dreamed.

Now that baby Ralph is almost 1 month old (Friday he will be a month), I did want to share the photos that we took when baby Ralph was 9 days old. I am so glad that we had these taken when we did because it is amazing how much our sweet baby Ralph has already changed since these were taken! I feel like I wake him up every morning and he looks different, it’s so crazy!

Thank you all for your kind e-mails, DM’s and patience with the blog (really the lack of content) during this special time. I have been soaking up every minute I can with our sweet baby and I promise things are getting back to normal on Dallas Wardrobe. I did want to mention that although today’s post does include baby Ralph, the majority of my baby content will be posted on DallasWardrobe.com/baby because I know that not all of you read my blog to see baby things (I totally get it, before I was pregnant I didn’t like to read about anything baby related).
