Happy Weekend

Happy Friday! T.G.I.F. am I right? If you read this post weekly you know that last week we went to Oklahoma City. Having never really spent a lot of time in the downtown area, I didn’t know what to expect. The husbands aunt and uncle live out by a popular lake so we usually stay with them! This time we decided to really get a taste of everything the city had to offer and let me tell you..we were NOT disappointed!

It was such a fun (and quick) get away! We started the weekend off by eating at his aunt and uncle’s favorite spot, Charleston’s. Post dinner we met up with a college best friend and he took us to all of his favorites. Drinks at our hotel bar (The Skirvin), another boozy stop at Broadway 10 (it’s new but SO gorgeous) and then we ended the night at The Ambassador Hotel rooftop bar. OH EM GEE. I loved the decor at this hotel but the rooftop bar had the loveliest view of downtown Oklahoma City!

Saturday stared with brunch at Packards, a moving trip to the Oklahoma City Memorial, a quick beer at a sports bar, Republics, and then it was time for dinner! Dinner was at The Metro followed by dessert at Michael’s (best brandy alexander I have ever had). Needless to say, Oklahoma City was such a quick and easy place to get to from Dallas but such a cool city! We had a blast.

The rest of the week was pretty standard. Work, work, work I tell you. Now it’s Friday…the hubby and I are both under the weather so we plan to watch golf, a movie and just relax. Tomorrow night we are eating dinner with one of our favorites who is in town for just a few days. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Any fun plans on your agendas?

• Nordstrom: Love this Alice & Olivia dress, we all know winter isn’t over yet so this Burberry scarf would be a great buy, the back on this little party dress is gorgeous and this turtleneck sweater dress is oh so chic. 
• Neiman Marcus: This bronze Manolo Blahnik BB pump is beautiful (but the price is even better), these leopard pumps are a must have, this striped tote screams summer (and is adorable), this cobalt blue dress needs to be in everyones closet and I am obsessed with these sunnies.
• Shopbop: I have been looking for a cute pj set and I think this one is just what I need, these leather leggings are so great, this blouse is a good one to have and this cotton robe looks so cozy!
• Nasty Gal: If you saw my latest outfit post you probably noticed this coat I was wearing. Well you guys, it’s a GREAT coat and it’s on sale ($53). For sure worth adding to your closet.
