Everything about New York Fashion Week with Sally, Molly + Mary this past weekend was a success. The Hudson Hotel was gorgeous, the shows were unbelievable (DVF, Mara Hoffman and Lela Rose were my favorites), the restaurants were delicious (The Smith, P.J. Clarks, Philippe, Fred’s +Bar Boulud) and of course the street style fashion was out of this world.
I like to think that the shoes I brought made a statement + looked great with my outfits but my feet were dying in all of the 4+ inch heels. I mean literally dying. It took me about half a day to pick up on the most common NYC habit which is to carry a pair of flats in your bag. Although I was perfectly happy with these flats that I brought with me on the trip but as much time as I spent in them it really made me want a statement slipper. That slipper you can throw on and adds a little pizzaz to your outfit and is actually a great alternative to a fabulous heel. Thinking my next shoe purchase will have to be a slipper that makes a statement.
