Texas Winter Wonderland

Your definition and my definition (a.k.a. Texas) of winter wonderland I am sure are very different. This past weekend in Dallas it really was an (icy) winter wonderland. Store shelves were empty because everyone stocked up to not leave the house for a few days, restaurants shut down early, schools were closed for 2 days. It really just looked like everyone decided to go on vacation at the same time but really we were all just hanging out indoors.

I for one really enjoyed our little Texas ice/snow. We had friends come over a homemade meal & ice cream sundays made by yours truly, watched movies and just relaxed. WE did get a little stir crazy so on Saturday so I threw on my warmest scarf, leggings, boots, a jacket & hat and headed to our favorite neighborhood bar Inwood Tavern to watch the Baylor Bears beat Texas!

Weekends that force you to just be around the house and relax are few and far between so it was so nice to just slow down for a hot minute before this roller coaster of a holiday season gets in full swing! If you had a little Texas winter wonderland I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
