Halloween Ready
Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. When I was younger my mom used to go above and beyond with everything from our (custom) costumes to the amount of candy and even the decor around the house.
Since this is our first halloween in our house (we moved in last November), I wanted to continue on the fun traditions that my mom started when I was little; plus we live in a neighbored hood that gets REALLY into Halloween and as the new kids on the block (literally), I wanted to make sure that we got into the spirit like everyone else. Last weekend I decided that I really needed to get inspired with our Halloween decor, so I went to Target.
Dining Room Reveal
I cannot believe that in just a little under 8 weeks we will have lived in our home for a year. A year! Wow, what a year it has been. While it has really flown by looking back at EVERYTHING that has gone on (and things that are still on the list), it really as been a minute.
Since we moved into the house, I have tried to share bits along the way. I shared the bed we picked for our master bedroom in this post, the bedding in our master bedroom here and snippets of some of the Gray Malin art we have around our house here. Besides this before and after post of our powder bathroom
My Chic Nest
We have been working on our house for what seems like forever now. While it has only been 9 months, for some reason it really seems much longer. We have ALMOST finished phase one which was converting the back house into a garage, fencing in the back, laying concrete, landscaping the front, gutting the master bathroom, re-doing the downstairs powder bathroom and of course decorating and furnishing the house. We still lack little things like drapes, a piece of art for above the fireplace in the formal living room, a lamp here and there but nothing too big well, besides the kitchen.
Currently we are trying to get all of the punch list items completed by our current contractor and CLOSE that door with him so we can move onto conquering the kitchen. Honestly, I am so thankful that we did not do all three
